An Assisted & Friendly Ride for Medical Appointments...

Medical appointments are defined as any prescheduled appointments that are for health and wellness. This includes, but is not limited to, Primary Care, Eye Doctors, Cardiologists, Podiatrists, Specialists, Psychiatrists, Dentists, Physical Therapy, Dialysis, Chemotherapy, and more.

Transportation is available to registered care receivers. To become registered, you must call our office and set up an assessment appointment. Once an appointment has been set up - a retired Nurse will come to your home to go over our policies and services we provide. The first call to completed registration process takes a few weeks and once you are fully registered in our system, then you can request one ride per week.  It is advised to call and become registered at least 6 weeks before you need a ride.  

Transportation to medical procedures can be provided as long as the care receiver is NOT undergoing anesthesia.  We cannot pick up anyone who has been under the affect of anesthesia. Our transports are considered a "ride share" similar to a taxi service.

Transportation is provided as far north as Toms River, NJ and as far south as Tuckerton, NJ, and all of Long Beach Island. We cannot travel outside of Ocean County.

We are able to offer volunteers who will assist in transportation to and from medical appointments. Often these transportations are done in personal vehicles. They also may be provided with one of our transport vans. 

Appointment requests must be made 2 weeks or more in advance from the date that they are requested. We cannot accommodate last minute changes or requests.

We are a volunteer based organization so we do not have drivers “on-call” or available all the time. 

Clients are eligible for one transportation appointment per week. 

Transportation is offered Monday - Thursday during business hours of 9:00am-3:30pm. 

Transportation is offered on Fridays during business hours during the months of January - May and September - December.

No Friday transportation is available from Memorial Day through Labor Day. 

No requests are guaranteed until a volunteer assigned calls to confirm with the client.
